Nature Through Art and Natural Healing

If you're looking for something different to do while visiting O`ahu, contact Cindie of EcoVentures and take a customized excursion based on your individual or family need. Looking for some adventure, but need to get some community service hours in for your children in school? No problem. Find yourself stranded in rainy weather? Generally there's a sunny side somewhere on the island, and if not, we know where to take you. Contact us through AirBNB Experiences and book your experience today.

You can meet local surf photographers, new and legendary. International artists in person. Enjoy gourmet Pacific fusion foods, or find world class barbecue, sushi, or hulihuli chicken. Once you have your sustenance take a walk in nature, or a hike, or a swim. Heal and feel well as you tree bathe along the 2 miles of North Shore that connects #SunsetBeach and #Pipeline. Have a bullet coffee with grass fed butter at the #SunriseShack in the Outrigger Waikiki or at the original stand #SunsetBeach.

Find healing balms from #manahealingCBD or check out Saturday live music at #Breakers on the North Shore or enjoy karaoke at #SurfertheBar at Turtle Bay. If you're interested in city life, Waikiki is always alive...until 2am. Find the best late night pizza on Kuhio Avenue and find hula at the #RoyalHawaiianShoppingCenter. The Outrigger Waikiki is next to the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Waikiki's first hotel and is THE go to #KapoikaiCatamaran ride, surf lessons, and beachfront luxury beach chair rentals.

Art and history buffs will love Dukes in the #TheOutriggerWaikiki and everyone should have a visit to the Honolulu Museum of Art -- or experience a #FirstFriday event if you're in town. For more information about Hawaii and how everything is connected, tune into EcoVentures.Radio on iHeart, Spotify, iTunes or wherever you find your podcasts. See you in paradise! Aloha! Cindie

Sunset from Oahu's north shore

TIPS:

Be sure to visit Waimea Valley and put your feet on the ground; yes, take your shoes off and stand on the land!

Get in the water, but be sure to check with lifeguards regarding water safety; respect flags and signs; and WATCH the ocean for at least 20 minutes before going in so you will know the actual size of the surf at the beach you enjoy.

Never turn your back to the ocean. And do not hike on unmarked trails.

Use Zinc based sunblock to protect yourself and our corals

This is good wherever you live on the planet.

Remember to hydrate - but you don't need plastic water bottles. Hawaii's water is some of the most pure on the planet. It takes 25 years of percolation through volcanic rock, and it is not fluoridated. Just keep refilling the plastic bottle you have already, or better yet, buy a water container and never buy plastic water bottles again!

Many hotels are offering water refill stations, like #TurtleBayResort, and there are multiple water outlets close to beaches and in parks.

Do not approach turtles or seals, they are protected.

Try a Manapua, a malasada, a plate from #TedsBakery and visit the #PolynesianCulturalCenter next to BYU. Most of all, enjoy your stay. Aloha
